About

Why We Do It

One thing’s for sure: movement dictates the way we live -- from a cellular organism level to an elite athlete. Movement is a vital sign; it needs to be monitored and, when correctly assessed, and if needed, corrected to prevent injury, to perform better in sport, and in life.

Who We Are

Todd Lewarchick, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

  • Certified Functional Movement Specialist
  • Certified Functional Strength Coach
  • Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (NSCA)
  • Certified Pain Neuroscience Education

Todd will assess your foundational movement, functional movement patterns, and functional capacity to identify potential dysfunction or deficiency. If identified, a specific plan of action will be created to correct, prevent injury, and improve performance.

What these credentials mean

Credentials & Specialized Expertise

Advanced credentials. Applied expertise. Better decisions.

At CLE/Rx Movement Lab, our approach combines advanced clinical training, movement science, pain neuroscience, and human performance principles. These specialized credentials reflect a commitment to understanding not only how the body moves, but why movement limitations develop, how physical capacity can be improved, and how meaningful progress can be measured.

  • FAAOMPT

Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists

Advanced expertise in orthopaedic manual physical therapy

The FAAOMPT designation recognizes completion of advanced fellowship-level training in orthopaedic manual physical therapy. This specialized education emphasizes clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis, advanced examination skills, and evidence-informed treatment of complex musculoskeletal conditions.

Learn what this means for you

Fellowship training develops the ability to look beyond an isolated area of pain and consider how the nervous system, joints, muscles, and movement strategies interact.

What this means for you: A comprehensive, individualized evaluation designed to identify contributing factors, guide appropriate treatment, and determine when further medical assessment may be necessary.

  • OCS

Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy

Recognized clinical expertise in musculoskeletal care

The Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification is awarded by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and recognizes advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in the evaluation and management of musculoskeletal conditions.

Learn what this means for you

This specialty encompasses orthopaedic examination, rehabilitation, movement dysfunction, exercise prescription, and clinical decision-making across a wide range of conditions and populations.

What this means for you: Specialized expertise in evaluating pain, mobility limitations, strength deficits, and movement challenges, with individualized strategies to restore function and improve physical capacity.

  • Pain education

    Certified Pain Neuroscience Education

Understanding pain beyond the site of symptoms

Pain is complex. It is influenced not only by tissue health and physical loading, but also by the nervous system, prior experiences, stress, sleep, expectations, and the context in which movement occurs.

Learn what this means for you

Specialized training in Pain Neuroscience Education supports a modern, evidence-informed understanding of how pain is produced and experienced. It emphasizes helping individuals understand their symptoms, reduce unnecessary fear of movement, and develop confidence in their ability to move and participate in meaningful activities.

This approach integrates education with movement, progressive exercise, and individualized rehabilitation.

What this means for you: A better understanding of your pain, improved confidence with movement, and practical strategies to restore function without assuming that pain always indicates ongoing tissue damage.

  • CPSS

Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (NSCA)

Bridging rehabilitation, movement health, and human performance

The Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS) credential, offered by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, recognizes specialized knowledge in applying sport science principles to performance assessment, monitoring, and decision-making.

Learn what this means for you

This expertise includes evaluating physical capacities such as strength, power, speed, endurance, and workload, while considering athlete readiness, recovery, and the specific demands of sport or occupation.

At CLE/Rx Movement Lab, these principles extend beyond competitive athletes to individuals seeking to improve physical capacity, firefighters and tactical personnel, and people transitioning from rehabilitation to higher-level activity.

What this means for you: Objective assessments, individualized training recommendations, and ongoing measurement to determine whether interventions are producing meaningful improvements in performance, readiness, and physical durability.

The CLE/Rx difference

Clinical expertise meets performance science.

  1. 01

Understand the problem: Apply advanced clinical reasoning to identify relevant contributing factors.

  2. 02

Understand the person: Consider pain, movement behavior, physical capacity, and individual goals.

  3. 03

Build the solution: Use individualized rehabilitation and performance strategies.

  4. 04

Measure meaningful change: Reassess outcomes to determine whether the approach is working.

Move competently. Build capacity. Meet performance demands. Remain durable.
